GCSAA Research funded by The Institute

2007-10
Research Projects

Synopsis of results
2010 projects
Research map

Supported by The Environmental Institute for Golf, the goal of the GCSAA Research Program is to fund research that is important to superintendents. To achieve this goal, and since growing conditions and the problems faced by superintendents vary greatly across the country, the research projects cover a wide range of topics.

The results from the research conducted is used to help develop golf course business solutions, best management practices and measurable targets enabling golf facilities to demonstrate progress in the advancement of environmental stewardship on golf courses.

The Institute, GCSAA affiliated chapters and allied organizations have together funded over $2.9 million in research since 1996.

2011 Call for Proposals

In 2011, The Environmental Institute for Golf will provide funding for new research projects in two separate programs, the Chapter Cooperative Research Program and the Chapter BMP/Technology Implementation Grant. Proposals are due Oct. 17, 2011. Learn more.
