Golf’s Online Resource Center - for Practical Golf Course Management

The Environmental Institute for Golf’s online resource - EDGE - is the golf course management industry’s source for best management practices (BMPs) and case studies on environmental topics. Users will find actual case studies and BMPs at golf facilities featuring wildlife habitat management; water quality; integrated plant management; water use; siting, design, and construction; and energy and waste management. Each is a practical topic recommended, managed, and practiced by GCSAA golf course superintendents.

    This is an example of how the case study should be formatted. It is saved as a portable document file (PDF). You'll need the free Adobe Reader to view it. If you don't already have the reader, you can download it for free here.
  • Case study template
    This is a Microsoft Word template. To use the template must have Microsoft Word. When prompted choose Save and save the template to a familiar location on your computer. Once you have completed the template, either attach your saved template in an email to Mark Johnson or mail to:

Simply complete the ready-to-use template and send the information via email or regular mail service. Submissions will help superintendents, GCSAA and The Institute further service the golf course management profession, and enhance golf’s compatibility with the environment. Address any questions about the online BMPs or case studies to Mark Johnson, GCSAA environmental program specialist, at (800) 472-7878, ext. 5161, or by e-mail at mjohnson@gcsaa.org.

Case study submissions will become the property of the GCSAA for use in accordance with the mission, vision and goals of the association. Submissions will be reviewed, subject to editing, and will then be evaluated for inclusion in the EDGE online resource.
