Video News Release shares positive environmental message

The value golf courses provide to communities was the focus of a video news release produced by GCSAA earlier this year. The two minute news segment and the five minute background footage featured Greg Norman, chair of The Environmental Institute for Golf; Greg Lyman, GCSAA director of environmental programs and Tim Hiers, CGCS at Old Collier Golf Club. The production was distributed to more than 900 television and cable outlets for replay. While the information is considered evergreen in nature, the release was timed to coincide with the U.S. Open in June and the PGA Championship in August.
