Purpose of committees/task groupsThe Environmental Institute for Golf is committed to seeking expertise and advice from diverse points of view from the committees and task groups it supports. The Institute will collaboratively engage golf industry stakeholders, scientists, regulators and environmental advocacy groups through work in the Environmental Programs Committee and each of five Environmental “Centers.” The Environmental Programs Committee, composed of 25 members, will be responsible for providing strategic advice and identifying the overall criteria for establishing golf industry standards of environmental excellence in each Center. The Environmental Programs Committee will also determine a process to best utilize the standards to advance the mission of The Institute. Task groups, composed of 8 to 12 individuals, will be formed within each Center to develop the content of the golf industry environmental excellence standards.
